Franchise trash-haul system proposal advances with Public Works approval

Don’t Waste LA is a coalition of community, environmental, faith and labor organizations working to increase LA's recycling and composting LA while cleaning up a historically dirty and dangerous industry. In Spring 2014, the Los Angeles City Council adopted a Zero Waste LA franchise policy which will transform our waste and recycling system for businesses and apartments and eliminate our dependence on landfills, dirty trucks and dangerous jobs.

We are working with leaders in the City of Los Angeles to ensure that implementing our new system will protect us with the highest possible customer
